The Faculty of Communications

 

As from March 2001 the Faculty of Communications is settled in this new building located in our University’s Central Campus on Alameda 340, Santiago.

The Faculty of Communications defines as its mission to teach and research the different areas of media communications. It also seeks to cultivate the cultural enrichment and the development of new forms of communication, on the light of ethical principles.

The Faculty is composed by two academic units: 

The School of Journalism and the Institute of Media Studies.

The School of Journalism is fully accredited by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, ACEJMC.

 

Undergraduate programs:

Licentiate degree in Social Communication leading to two professional outlets:

a) degree in Journalism

b) degree in Audiovisual Direction

 

Graduate programs:

a) Master in Social Communication with a mention in Communication and Education

b) Master in Social Communication with a mention in Printed Journalism

 

Diplomas:

a) Diploma in Corporate Communication

b) Diploma in Audiovisual Writing

c) Diploma in Audience Studies
